Tree Hotel
This extraordinary hotel is located in the north of Sweden, near the Arctic Circle. Its uniqueness lies not only in its location, but also in the concept of the hotel complex, where rooms are located on the trees, 4-6 meters from the ground.
The idea was carried out by the architects of the Inrednin Gsgruppen design studio (Except for the latest project, «Biosphere», which was created by the design studio Big). Each of them designed a separate house in a tree, so the houses have their own style and theme, allowing guests to choose rooms to their taste.

The Mirrorcube

The lodge is a mirrored cube in the middle of the forest, reflecting the surrounding nature. The eco-room is decorated in an elegant modern style with natural materials, mostly birch plywood.
Despite its size of 16 m2, the mirror cube is almost invisible to human eyes. But the architects took care of the safety of the forest dwellers, thanks to the infrared film, which wraps the cube, birds, unlike people, can clearly see its shape and will not crash into it.
In addition to the double bedroom, the room has a living room, a bathroom and a roof terrace.
The Biosphere,

Biosphere is the latest renovation of the hotel complex that supports the TreeHotel's concept of care for nature.
The new hotel room not only has an unusual design, but also fulfills the mission of maintaining the population of local birds, because the hotel facade contains 350 bird's nests. Thanks to this "neighborhood" hotel guests have the opportunity to observe the life of birds in close proximity.
The interior of the hotel room has many panoramic windows; the design is dominated by natural materials and dark shades that create a contrast with the surrounding nature.
Guests have access to a rooftop terrace with a 360-degree view of the forest.
The UFO,

This oval house, designed in the style of a spaceship, will not leave indifferent both adults and the youngest visitors to the hotel. The room is a classic of the genre, with classic space shuttle windows and space-themed design.
The Birds Nest,

This room is designed in the form of a bird's nest and blends in with the surrounding nature. The exterior facade is made of tree branches. Unlike the other rooms, the stairs to the common entrance of the house are by extension ladder, not practical but aesthetically justified design solution to create the impression of a nest soaring above the ground. With a perimeter of 17 m 2, the room accommodates up to 4 guests.
The Treehotel is interesting not only for its design, but also for the opportunity to immerse yourself in Swedish culture. The hotel's chefs specialise in game dishes and local products. Upon request, the Treehotel staff organises various activities depending on the season. In winter, dogsledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing and snowmobile rides are available. And in summer, guests can go hiking and kayaking.
For those looking for new experiences, a "dinner in a tree" is served, at a height of 10 meters.
