Its 2022, almost 2023 and more & more people are now using their voices to demand political and social change.As we approach to the future, people are filled with rage, giving way to more extreme forms of protest, whether it be throwing tomato soup on fine art, or activists glueing themselves to the floor of a car museum.

With the chaos of the world on full view at the scroll of a thumb, it’s understandable that people might feel ashamed to treat themselves. Hence self-care and pleasure with social and eco-consciousness is what one needs. Embracing & and validating darker, more complex emotions is alright. As alcohol-free lifestyles surge in popularity, young people gather themselves around nightlife based on community, healing and dance.

MISERY, A club in London is a mental health collective and sober club to facilitate healing and joy for queer, transgender, non-binary and intersex Black people and people of colour.

Its programming bridges the divide between nightlife, dance parties and therapy, and includes ‘twerkshops’, guided meditation and foraging herb walks. Helping bring people together through self-care and healing rather than alcohol is what one needs.
